We are blessed at St. Patrick's with a large hall for parish sponsored and community special events. It's located just east of the church, at 227 W Atkinson St. Our hall is a large facility with an interior usage space of approximately 3,600 square feet, full kitchen and bathrooms. Seating and tables are adequate for 200 persons.
The hall can be rented for special events by a parishioner, by the public, or an unaffiliated organization. All events (except funeral luncheons or parish sponsored functions) require a certificate of insurance. Besides payment to rent the hall (fees are listed on the St Patrick's Hall Rental document), two documents are required, described on page 1 of the Parish Hall Rental Guidelines document below. One of 2 hall usage agreement forms must be filled out and turned in, and either an application for Special Event Coverage (fees and application - page 7 of the guidelines) or a Certificate Request; naming St Patrick's Catholic Church, and Diocese of Peoria as additional insured. An individual or organization can also obtain insurance coverage from their own underwriter, or agent.
At least 2 weeks prior to the event, the hall rental payment, one of the usage agreement forms, and the insurance certificate, must be submitted. For reserving the hall or for a community charity event, please contact the pastor.
Funeral luncheons for a parish family, permission from the pastor is still necessary; payment to use the hall usually goes through the funeral home handling arrangements, but no need to obtain insurance. No alcohol is allowed at any funeral luncheon.
Liquor (either open or cash bar) is only allowed on church property if the following are met: A) must receive the pastor's permission, B) must obtain additional Special Event Coverage, C) must obtain the necessary state/county license, D) and must follow all Diocesan Liquor Liability Guidelines. No BYOB is ever allowed on church property.
